The wax injection process
The process begins with the creation of a rubber or silicone mould. This mould is made from a master model, often sculpted by hand or produced using cutting-edge technologies such as 3D printing. Once the mould is ready, it is used to produce wax copies of the master model.
The wax, usually paraffin or microcrystalline waxes, is heated until it becomes liquid. It is then injected into the mould under pressure, filling in all the fine details of the design. Once the wax has cooled and solidified, the mould is opened, revealing a wax replica of the desired piece of jewellery.
